Join us this fall for the citywide infectious diseases (ID) and microbiology rounds! This week we will be hearing from Darrell Tan, who is an Infectious Diseases physician and Clinician-Scientist at St. Michael’s Hospital.
Tan will be giving a talk titled: “How to be a doxy doc without getting doxxed: A review of the evidence on doxycycline for STI prophylaxis”
Learning objectives:
- To understand current evidence on the safety and efficacy of doxycycline chemoprophylaxis against bacterial STIs
- To discuss practical strategies for applying this evidence in clinical practice
- To recognize unanswered questions regarding doxycycline for STI chemoprophylaxis and ongoing research aimed at addressing these questions
