SUMMARY:EPIC Trainee Pizza Talks
DESCRIPTION:Hosted by EPIC Trainee Advisory Committee (EPIC TAC) and held on the first Thursday of every month\, the Trainee Pizza Talks are a safe and supportive trainee-only space for trainees to present and discuss their research with other students\, postdocs\, and RAs from various research fields. It is also an excellent opportunity to network and get to know other trainees! \nJoin us on May 1\, between 5-6 PM at the Donnelly Centre Red Room for our last seminar of the semester. Our speakers and talks are: \nMohammad Simchi (Postdoc co-supervised by Keith Pardee; Pharmaceutical Sciences\, Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy and David Sinton; Mechanical and Industrial Engineering\, Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering): Scalable high-yield biomanufacturing for on-demand vaccine production \nVeronique Taylor (Research associate supervised by Karen Maxwell; Biochemistry\, Temerty Faculty of Medicine): How do we improve phage therapeutics? Let the bacteria tell us \nFollowing the talks\, EPIC TAC will host a pub social at Prenup Pub (191 College St). Appetizers and soft drinks will be covered. Register here by April 24!
