The department of laboratory medicine and pathobiology is hosting Brad Jones for a special faculty recruitment seminar.
Dr. Brad Jones short bio:
Dr. Jones is a viral immunologist who completed his PhD in immunology at U of T and is currently an associate professor at Weill Cornell in the division of infectious diseases. His research is focused on harnessing the immune system, particularly cellular immune responses (T cells and natural killer cells), to develop therapies that either cure HIV infections or reduce viral reservoirs.
Dr. Jones leads and co-leads multiple NIH-funded HIV cure consortia, integrating mechanistic discovery, advanced modeling, and clinical translation to inform curative strategies for persistent viral infections.
Talk title: Persistent HIV Reservoirs – Mechanisms of Immune Escape and Pathways to Clearance
Date and time: Wednesday, September 3rd, 11:10 Am – 12:10 PM
