EPIC Trainee Advisory Committee is hosting a virtual science writing workshop to help trainees learn useful tips and tricks to craft a concise and engaging abstract.
The workshop features two experts from within the EPIC community- Conrad Izydorczyk (postdoctoral fellow at Mount Sinai Hospital, Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute, co-supervised by Allison McGeer and Julianne Kus, Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology, Temerty Faculty of Medicine) and Trevor Moraes (professor of biochemistry, Temerty Faculty of Medicine)- who will present their insights on what constitutes an Epic abstract!
Conrad Izydorczyk has had abstracts accepted for publications and presentations at international research conferences and will share his experiences informed by his perspective as a senior trainee.
Trevor Moraes will provide a reviewer’s perspective on what he looks for when reading abstracts and considering them for inclusion in events and awards calls.
