SUMMARY:Trainee Pizza Talk
DESCRIPTION:These informal seminars aim to give EPIC trainees a PI-free space to practice their presentation and science communication skills. Typically\, two trainees give ~25 minute presentations on their research. This is a great opportunity for our trainees to receive supportive feedback from peers\, and to hear about research outside of their graduate department that they ordinarily wouldn’t get the chance to! \nDate: December 4th\nTime: 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.\nLocation: Red Room\, Donnelly Centre for Cellular and Biomolecular Research \nThis seminar will feature two speakers: \n\nAnna Bojagora\, who will present a talk titled “Deciphering the mechanisms of Neisseria gonorrhoeae-induced immunopathogenesis in the mouse upper genital tract“\nMahmood Gohari\, who will present a talk titled “From genes to predictions: Using machine learning and genomic data to understand antimicrobial resistance in Shigella“\n\n  \nWe are still looking for presenters for the next pizza talks – register here!
