SUMMARY:Before antibiotics\, after resistance: The history and future of phage therapy
DESCRIPTION:Join EPIC’s trainee advisory committee (TAC) for their “Topics in infectious disease research: Postdoc lunch lectures”. \nThese informal seminars take place over lunch (pizza will be served!)\, and are held by a postdoctoral fellow working on infectious disease research. The aim of these seminars is for more senior researchers to share research methods\, techniques\, and/or approaches with the EPIC community through short 20-30 minute talks. These seminars are largely attended by graduate students who are keen to discover the many ways infectious disease research is conducted\, especially in disciplines outside of their own. \nThis month’s seminar will be: \n\nBefore antibiotics\, after resistance: The history and future of phage therapy\, by Landon Getz\, postdoctoral fellow in the Maxwell Lab (Department of Biochemistry)\n\nDate: March 10th\, 2026 \nTime: 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. \nLocation: MS3278\, Medical Sciences Building\, St George Campus\, University of Toronto \nAre you interested in sharing your knowledge and putting teaching skills to the test?
