Health Systems Resilience
Building health systems that bend, not break, under infectious threats.
A health system’s ability to absorb the shock of an infectious disease outbreak without compromising everything else it delivers determines how well a community weathers a crisis. This cluster brings together health policy, systems engineering and hospital operations and management expertise to strengthen surge capacity, supply chains and care delivery models that hold up under pressure.
This work connects closely with the Canadian Hub for Health Intelligence & Innovation in Infectious Diseases (HI3), a national coalition of over 90 partners working to strengthen Canada’s pandemic readiness and biomanufacturing capacity, helping ensure the systems behind our health response are as resilient as the research driving it.
