These informal seminars aim to give EPIC trainees a PI-free space to practice their presentation and science communication skills. Typically, two trainees give ~25 minute presentations on their research. This is a great opportunity for our trainees to receive supportive feedback from peers, and to hear about research outside of their graduate department that they ordinarily wouldn’t get the chance to!
Date: December 4th
Time: 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.
Location: Red Room, Donnelly Centre for Cellular and Biomolecular Research
This seminar will feature two speakers:
- Anna Bojagora, who will present a talk titled “Deciphering the mechanisms of Neisseria gonorrhoeae-induced immunopathogenesis in the mouse upper genital tract“
- Mahmood Gohari, who will present a talk titled “From genes to predictions: Using machine learning and genomic data to understand antimicrobial resistance in Shigella“
We are still looking for presenters for the next pizza talks – register here!
