Biosecurity and health emergency preparedness in today’s research & development landscape

Join the Canadian Hub for Health Intelligence & Innovation in Infectious Diseases (HI³) for an engaging keynote and panel discussion on Biosecurity and health emergency preparedness in today’s research & development landscape. 

The event will feature CAPT Andrew G. Letizia, Science Director of the U.S. Naval Medical Research Unit INDO PACIFIC, who will provide an introduction to biosecurity and health emergency preparedness. His talk will also highlight how advances in the life sciences intersect with ethical use considerations, public safety, and public policy, as well as what steps countries should take to establish and strengthen health security.

Following the keynote, CAPT Letizia will be joined by a panel of innovation, policy, and health security experts to continue the discussion on how best to approach and implement health security in our rapidly changing global environment.

This in-person event is open to research faculty, clinicians, and professionals from industry, start-ups, not-for profits, training organizations, and government agencies.
